Lee Gale Gruen lives in the East San Francisco Bay area. She retired from a 37-year career as a probation officer and became an actress, author, guest speaker, and blogger. Her transition has been reviewed in Time Magazine, the Los Angeles Times newspaper, AARP Life Reimagined, and in Marlo Thomas’ 2014 book highlighting women who have reinvented themselves.

Lee Gale (her first name) has been writing a blog for seven years, sharing her thoughts, observations, and experiences which she believes are universal to the retiree and senior demographic. She also lectures publicly on senior reinvention. Her published memoir about becoming an actress as a senior is: Adventures with Dad: A Father and Daughter’s Journey Through a Senior Acting Class.
